New Year's Resolution

Heaven knows I've been wanting to do this since last summer. But you know how it is; things just kept happening and I kept putting it off.

Last Monday I finally decided to do it no matter what. So I called up the pool to make sure I could get a pass that day. Then I changed into my swimsuit and headed to the pool.

This is my first-ever New Year's Resolution. I'm going to swim laps every weekday for at least 30 minutes a day.

Hooked on Alt-Rock

I discovered 94/7 while station-surfing. They were playing Aha's "Take on Me." Next thing I knew, it was a bunch of songs I didn't hear very often.

Their mantra is "It's Different Here." It's an alternative rock radio station, but once in a while the DJ's will throw in a handful of "mainstream" songs from a decade or more ago. It's a good mix, albeit odd at times.

The other day while I looked up their website, I found out that one can listen to their broadcast live online. And there's no extra software to install, either. So now I'm always listening to them while on the computer. It's not commercial free, but it'll do before I plonk down the money to get an iPod.

We're Going to Disneyland!

Got a call from my sister-in-law on Sunday, asking if we wanted to go to Disneyland with them and our in-laws come spring break. So now I'm frantically trying to find the best deals for me and S to go.

I already missed out on Southwest Airlines' $99 flight deals. So I'm thinking perhaps I should go with Disney's "Kids fly&play free" deal. The thing is, Disneyland's website is a pain to use for reservations! Guess I will just have to call them up to book stuff over the phone or at least to try to get a quote.

Yeah, and don't tell me how crowded it's going to be there!
